Welcome to Virginia Galvanizing Corporation
Why Galvanize?
Galvanizing is a controlled factory process that extends the structural life of fabricated iron and steel. This is accomplished at Virginia Galvanizing Corporation using the hot dip method of galvanizing.
- Galvanized products require little or no maintenance, which reduces overall costs.
- Galvanized products are highly resistant to abrasion, unlike painted coatings.
- Galvanized products are protected from corrosion on all surfaces, inside and outside.
The High Cost of Corrosion
Infrastructure costs, from bolts to beams, continue to rise. Maintenance costs required to lengthen the service life of non-galvanized fabricated steel and iron products are fixed in one direction - up. The future costs of corrosion should be considered at the time these products are designed and placed into service. Current estimates value the cost of metal corrosion in the United States in the hundreds of billions of dollars.
Virginia Galvanizing Has the Solution
Hot dip galvanizing reduces the high replacement and maintenance costs due to corrosion. Our new 41,000 square foot plant provides the best galvanizing protection available. Throughout capacity has doubled, so we can deliver bigger loads in less time. Our new kettle is 42' x 5 1/2' x 8 1/2'. The new, longer kettle enables us to galvanize beams up to 75 feet long. Just as important, our operation is perfect for small parts such as bolts, screws, nails and other fasteners. Virginia Galvanizing Corporation's hot dip galvanizing is the solution to extend the service life of fabricated steel and iron.
